Mission Groups

Mission Trips

We are blessed to have many groups come down and visit us each year. Mission groups range in age and number of people, and each one that comes down gets the chance to help spread the gospel into the world, as Jesus has called each of us to do. Our goal is for each person who comes down on mission to create relationships with the people we minister to in order to point them to Jesus Christ, work alongside our missionaries in fellowship and unity, and aid in special projects that further the vision God has given to A.M.O.

Our mission groups come in all ages, sizes and have different giftings. Some groups are small and consist of just a few people, while others have been large and have made good use of our bus! These groups may be friends, families, youth groups, college groups, adult groups -they all have come and spread the love of Jesus and have helped us complete various work projects. Some groups focus on children’s ministry, agriculture, construction or other areas; no matter what the focus of the group, every group visits the favela and gets to experience first-hand the work God is doing these communities.

Interns

Over the past couple of years, we have been blessed to host youth and young adult interns for the purpose of training and providing cultural experiences in the context of missions. The interns are immersed in the day-to-day ministries and language as they work hand-in-hand with our missionaries on the mission property as well as in the favelas. Each intern contributes their unique set of talents to our team and they are given the opportunity to stretch and grow in their giftings while learning new skills.
